This is a friendly reminder that campsite bookings will be opening on November 3 at 9:00 am EST for the 2026 season!

With site openings for next year fast approaching, we want to make sure that bookings go smoothly with as little Internet traffic as possible. That is why we are asking campers to AVOID going to the booking website through NorthFrontenacParklands.com for the first couple days this year, and instead log onto the booking website directly using the below QR code! (If you are unable to use the QR code, you can also access the booking website directly here.)

Please make sure to save this link and/or QR code for the day of!!

If you still wish to go onto NorthFrontenacParklands.com on opening day for anything OTHER than booking (ex. reading about the lakes, getting fishing resources, etc.) you are still welcome to do so.

The fire ban has been lifted — but campfire safety still matters!

The Township and North Frontenac Parklands will be implementing a full fire ban, effective August 8, 2025, at 7:00 am due to the lack of precipitation, drying trends and no forecasted precipitation.

A Fire Ban prohibits; the burning of Combustible Materials, the use of a Chiminea, Fireworks displays, campfires of any type.

The Restricted Fire Zone previously in place for the entire Fire Region of Ontario has been lifted, effective Tuesday, July 11, at 16:00 hrs.

The MNRF and the Township of North Frontenac would like to thank our community and visitors for doing their part to help prevent forest fires and keep communities safe. Please continue to use extreme caution and follow Ontario’s Outdoor Fires Regulations when having an outdoor fire.

By-Law 53-19 – Except for cooking or warmth no fires shall be set out of doors in the Township of North Frontenac between the hours of (7) seven a.m. and (7) seven p.m. from the first (1) day of April to the thirty first (31) day of October inclusive, in any calendar year.

Please be aware that there are logging operations happening on Mountain Road/Schooner Lake area.  Be aware of potentially meeting log trucks on the road to Fortune and Schooner Lakes.

North Frontenac Parklands is happy to announce that Mair site 9 is now open and available for 2023 bookings.  Our Parkland staff has been working hard to reopen all the sites that were damaged in the 2022 Derecho.

PLEASE BE ADVISED: Due to the major wind storm that hit our area on Saturday May 21, 2022, the following campsites will remain closed for the 2022 season:

• Mair Site 9

Should you have a concern about your reservation or would like to cancel, please contact Mandy Mitchell at officeassistant@northfrontenac.ca. Cancellations can be made online by selecting ‘Modify or Cancel/Refund a Reservation‘ on the main screen of the website.

Park Lands Management

Some Tips to help guide you through the website:

• To Cancel and Receive a Refund please click on the Modify or Cancel/Refund Reservation at the top of the Main Screen. Please cancel 3 full days prior to your Reservation Start date to receive a full refund less the $3.00 Administrative Fee. Cancellations made 3 days before or during your reservation will incur a 50% penalty, less the $3.00 Administrative Fee.
• Use the ‘Campsite Booking by Map‘ feature to see where the sites are located and book them directly on the map! Simply choose your lake, enter the start and end dates and Check the Availability.
  • You can Measure Distance from the Boat Launch to your site using this interactive map.  Simply right-click beside the boat launch and select ‘Measure Distance’  Click throughout the lake until you get to your desired site.  Your distance will be generated with every click.  To clear the measurement, right-click again and select ‘Clear Measurement’
• Use the ‘Book a Campsite‘ feature to look for availability on All Lakes or the one of your choice.  This searches the whole lake for availability not just a particular site!
• All of the Lakes in the program require a Road Access Permit with the exception of Big Gull Lake and Kashwakamak Lake.  When you reserve a campsite you will get one (1) complimentary Road Access Permit with every Reservation.  If you have others taking their own vehicle they are required to purchase a separate Road Access Permit.  This can be done by selecting ‘Buy a Road Permit‘ from websites main screen.
• To see a map of Roads that require a Road Access permit look under the ‘Our Parklands‘ tab and select ‘Road Access Permits‘
