Big Gull Lake

Big Gull Lake is located in the southern portion of the North Frontenac Parklands. It drains through a dam at Gull Creek where it leads into Crotch Lake.  There are 25 campsites on the lake, with 2 boat launches located on both ends of the lake that are maintained by the Township. Campsites within Big Gull Lake are located on its many islands offering secluded solitude and breathtaking sunsets. All sites require watercraft for access.

Big Gull Lake is a bird watchers paradise and renowned as a nesting area for Hawks and Ospreys. Portions of the east and west bays of this roughly 12 mile long lake are lightly populated with seasonal cottages.

Fishing in Big Gull – Here you will find Northern Pike, Walleye, Large-mouth Bass, Small-mouth Bass and Perch.

Please Note: Road Permits are not required for Big Gull Lake

Directions

Access is provided at the east and west ends of Big Gull lake.  The east access is just off Ardoch Road near Coxvale on Helen Lane. The west access is off of Big Gull Lake Road near Harlowe, at the end of Thompson Road.
