The Township and North Frontenac Parklands will be implementing a full fire ban, effective August 8, 2025, at 7:00 am due to the lack of precipitation, drying trends and no forecasted precipitation.
A Fire Ban prohibits; the burning of Combustible Materials, the use of a Chiminea, Fireworks displays, campfires of any type.

The Restricted Fire Zone previously in place for the entire Fire Region of Ontario has been lifted, effective Tuesday, July 11, at 16:00 hrs.
The MNRF and the Township of North Frontenac would like to thank our community and visitors for doing their part to help prevent forest fires and keep communities safe. Please continue to use extreme caution and follow Ontario’s Outdoor Fires Regulations when having an outdoor fire.
By-Law 53-19 – Except for cooking or warmth no fires shall be set out of doors in the Township of North Frontenac between the hours of (7) seven a.m. and (7) seven p.m. from the first (1) day of April to the thirty first (31) day of October inclusive, in any calendar year.
Please be aware that there are logging operations happening on Mountain Road/Schooner Lake area. Be aware of potentially meeting log trucks on the road to Fortune and Schooner Lakes.

North Frontenac Parklands is happy to announce that Mair site 9 is now open and available for 2023 bookings. Our Parkland staff has been working hard to reopen all the sites that were damaged in the 2022 Derecho.
