Beginning April 1st until November 15th a Road Access Permit is required for any use of the 58 kilometers of Crown roads located in the Township of North Frontenac. All vehicle types require a permit. Fees collected for Road Access Permits are reinvested by the Township into maintenance and upkeep of the Crown roads and North Frontenac Park Lands. Daily, weekly and seasonal Road Access Permits are available. Although many of the North Frontenac Park Lands lake access points and campsites can only be reached by traveling on a Crown road when you reserve a campsite (click the Book Your Campsite button) a portion of the camping permit fee is allocated for road access and thus road access is included with the camping permit. All other use of the Crown roads require (i.e. whether or not your are camping) a separate Road Access Permit. Visitors can purchase a road-only access permit online by clicking the Buy Road Permit link on the right. Residents of the Township of North Frontenac must purchase their road access permit directly from the Township at it’s main office on Road 506 just south of Plevna. NEW IN 2010
The Township of North Frontenac is pleased to announce that if you possess an Eastern Ontario Trails Alliance Gold Pass Permit, you will not be required to purchase a North Frontenac Township Road Access Pass to ride the Crown Trails in 2010. Eastern Ontario Trails Alliance
